National Senior Games Assn. 1.8

The National Senior Games Association (NSGA) represents a commendable initiative aimed at inspiring active adults to embrace a healthier lifestyle through the senior games movement. With its primary mission centered on promoting health and wellness for individuals aged 50 and over, the NSGA focuses on education, fitness, and sport as core components of its strategy.

The Games themselves stand out as the largest multi-sport event globally for seniors, featuring 23 different sports in a biennial competition designed for both men and women aged 50 and above. This impressive scale highlights the NSGA's commitment to fostering athleticism among senior participants.

Furthermore, NSGA Member Organizations coordinate annual games that serve as qualifying competitions in the year leading up to The Games. Athletes who meet established criteria while participating in their respective State Senior Games earn the opportunity to compete at the national level. To date, the NSGA has successfully conducted 18 summer national championships, with the upcoming event scheduled to take place in Fort Lauderdale, FL, in November of 2021.
